Electrolyzer digital twin and multiphysics simulation
€78,368.64
·
The State Shared Service Centre
We were awarded a grant to build and validate a digital twin of our centrifugal electrolyzer. The project develops a multiphysics simulation model that predicts and optimizes key design and operating parameters before physical prototyping — reducing iteration time and cost, and strengthening our in-house modeling capability for the next stage of green hydrogen development.

Electrolyzer pilot
€571,616.77
·
JTF-Rijnmond
We entered into Sea2Value, a pilot project with SwitcH2 Offshore supported through the JTF-Rijnmond programme. The project advances offshore green ammonia production by validating how renewable power can be converted into hydrogen and ammonia in marine environments. Spiral Hydrogen’s role is to pilot its novel centrifugal, bubble-free electrolyzer as a compact hydrogen generation module, while SwitcH2 Offshore leads the marinization and offshore integration work needed for scalable offshore ammonia production.

Hydrophobic electrode development
€55,977.60
·
The State Shared Service Centre
We were awarded a grant to develop hydrophobic porous electrodes for hydrogen production. The work improves gas transport and electrolyte management in our stack, strengthens our in-house R&D, and validates new electrode solutions for the next stage of technology development.

PCT patent filing
€3,724.00
·
Estonian Business and Innovation Agency
We filed a Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) application for our core centrifugal bubble-free electrolyzer. Filing costs were partly covered by a Development Grant from the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.

Bipolar plateless stack and catalyst redeposition patents
€7,500
·
Estonian Business and Innovation Agency
We filed patent applications for two technologies: our bipolar plateless stack design — which simplifies assembly and removes 15–25% of typical stack cost — and our in-situ catalyst redeposition method, which extends electrode lifetime. Supported by an Innovation Grant from the Estonian Business and Innovation Agency.
